Health & Safety System Assessments

Management has the responsibility, in consultation with the relevant workers and Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), to look at all tasks, on each site, involving manual handling activities to determine which one(s) pose a risk of creating a musculo-skeletal disorder (MSD) in the bodies of operators.

Forces, postures, movements, vibration duration and frequency of task can and usually affect each other to increase the risk of a MSD. The longer these tasks are done, the greater the risk of a MSD occurring. Environmental factors such as heat, cold and lightinglevels can also increase the risk.

It is recommended that completed assessments are kept and made readily accessible for future reference. Over time, one must evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented controls always avoiding introducing controls or changes to tasks that may result in different MSD's.

Once you have carried out a risk assessment, you may never need to do it again and you will only need to implement solutions based on your created priority list.


Upon completion of this audit, a full written report will be generated highlighting the issues to be discussed in the follow-up meeting. We are able to assist in implementing changes and carrying out supporting training.
