Office Ergonomic Job Station Set-ups
The Backsafe Team is constantly visiting new clients to review workplace job stations and set ups. Time and time again we see staff sitting at their desks or at job stations which are not set-up correctly utilising today's ergonomic best practice principles. This is a significant problem because even without any manual handling issues being involved in office work, just sitting in static positions day in and day out workers are at great risk of damaging their bodies. Fixed, incorrect working postures can rapidly create soreness in the body and can lead to long term musculo-skeletal disorders if not addressed in a timely manner.
Desks that are not level, chairs that are not adjusted, lumbar supports not adjusted properly, screens that are too high or too low or off to one side are all the cause of staff suffering aches in their bodies and this can build up day by day with serious consequences.
In this Office Ergonomic Job Station Set-up service we visit the job station of every staff member and correct all discovered violations. We always have the staff member's desk or job station adjusted to suit the needs of the individual staff member.
Upon completion of this audit, a full written report will be generated highlighting the issues to be discussed in the follow-up meeting. We are able to assist in implementing changes and carrying out supporting training.
